Darjeeling / Gangtok INS

Darjeeling is a town in Indias West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. Its famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks. Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal. Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape that includes India’s highest mountain.It is located in the Lesser Himalayas at an elevation of 2,000 metres (6,560 ft). It is noted for its tea industry, its views of the worlds third-highest mountain Kangchenjunga, and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri Railway station, our representative will meet & Greet you at the Airport/Railway station and assist you till your check in process at Gangtok.

Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir : You will visit Tsomgo Lake (12,400 feet), a high-altitude lake that is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhist. According to the legends, Buddhist used to monks study the color of lakes water to predict the future. There upon, you visit the Baba Mandir, which is approximately 55 km from Gangtok. 6.30 PM: Later continue to drive to Gangtok hotel and overnight stay.

Gangtok -Darjeeling : This morning after breakfast, check out & drive to Darjeeling. Before proceeding to Darjeeling you will be visiting Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery as per the time permits. View of lush green mountains and bubbling brooks will greet you at every turn. Overnight Stay at Darjeeling.

Darjeeling Sightseeing 4.30 AM- This morning, you will drive to Tiger Hill (8,400 feet) to chase the down and see the stunning view of the sun rising and throwing it pinkish glow on the landscapes. After spending some time at the tiger hill, you will embark on a drive to the hotel via Ghum Monastery, which famed for its 15-feet high statue of "Maitreya Buddha" and Batasia Loop, famous for its war memorial. 10.AM You will be visiting 7 Points ie Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ropeway and Japanese Temple. 6.00 PM: Evenings will be free for leisure.
